CampusConnection (“CampusConnection”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a campus-focused online platform where students can verify their student status, list and buy items, discover events, jobs, and connect with others in their university community (the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our website, app, and related Services.

By using CampusConnection, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Student profile information – university, major, graduation year, residence hall, bio, courses taken, skills, extracurricular activities, links to social accounts (if you choose to add them).

Listings & marketplace information – item title, description, price, photos, location or preferred meetup area.

Events, tickets & jobs – event details, ticket information, job descriptions, application materials (e.g., resume data you enter into forms).

Communications – messages sent through in-app messaging, contact forms, or support requests.

Feedback & surveys – ratings, reviews, or other feedback about users, listings, events, or the platform.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use the Services, we may automatically collect:

Usage data – pages visited, buttons clicked, features used, date and time of visits, referring URLs.

Device and log information – IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, error logs.

Approximate location – derived from IP address or university selection (e.g., “Temple University” or “Villanova University”).

We use this information primarily to operate, secure, and improve the Services.

University or campus partners – limited confirmation that you are enrolled or affiliated (where applicable and permitted).

Single sign-on or authentication providers – if you choose to log in using a third-party provider in the future (e.g., Google/other), we may receive your name, email, and profile information authorized by you.

Payment or transaction providers – limited transaction details if payments are processed by third-party services (we do not store full payment card details).

Hosting providers, email delivery services, analytics tools, and customer support tools that help us operate the platform. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for our instructions.

With university partners or campus organizations (limited)

Aggregated or de-identified data about usage or engagement (e.g., “Number of students attending an event” or “Top categories of listings”)

In certain pilot programs, limited non-sensitive student information may be shared only with your consent or as allowed by law.
